Civil Engineering Laboratory
SNALab (Pretoria and Richards Bay) is a division of SNA Civil and Structural Engineers (Pty) Ltd but also operates commercially as a laboratory providing services in the field of Civil Engineering and construction Material Testing.
SNALab has suitable equipment and staff for a number of site laboratories for road building and construction acceptance control and testing.
Laboratory Services
Asphalt and Slurry - Full Marshall control testing and Mix Designs
Bituminous binders and Modified Binders - Quality control testing
Concrete - Quality Control Testing - Mix Designs - Core Drilling and testing
Soil and Gravel - Road and Foundation indicator, MDD, CBR, UCS, ITS
Aggregates - Grading- ACV ,10% Fact's, Weathering testing
Chemical tests - PH, Conductivity and various Weathering tests.
Civil Engineering Surveys - Centreline , Borrow-pit and Geotechnical surveys
Site Laboratories
Various site laboratories are in operation throughout South Africa.
SNALab Pretoria supplied laboratories for the following major construction projects over the few decades: GAUTRAIN, Majuba Rail, R21, R71, N3TC, various TRAC-N4, R81, R571, R33-06, R33-07, R56, R61, and R573 to name a few.
Site laboratories implement and maintain technical requirements as per ISO 17025 and SNALab and SANAS approved Quality manual.
